Gapsted Wines is the major brand of the Victorian Alps Winery, which started life (and continues) as a large-scale contract winemaking facility. The quality of the wines made for its own brand has led to the expansion of production not only under that label, but also under a raft of subsidiary labels. As well as the substantial estate plantings, Gapsted sources traditional and alternative grape varieties from the King and Alpine Valleys.
TASTING NOTE
This wine displays a dark cherry colour. The nose shows rich blackberry, cherry and classic pepper spice aromas. These rich aromas lead to a palate which is beautifully balanced with subtle oak and fine spice, creating a lovely silky finish.
