Tasting Notes:

2018 Nietschke Julius Shiraz is deep black in colour.

It has an intense and uplifting aroma with notes of malt, dark cherry, plum cake, roses, chocolatey oak and spice. Very engaging and dynamic indicative of a classy wine ahead. The rich fruit characters continue to the full-bodied palate. Deep and powerful throughout, dark fruits dominate and are enhanced with smart background oak. Tannins are notable but plush adding a generous structure and backbone. The immense fruit is layered throughout and continues generously to the long finish. Nietschke Julius is an extensive and balanced Barossa Shiraz that can be enjoyed now or will effortlessly cellar for 5-10 years.
